WHY 2026 IS DIFFERENT
July 11, 2026 marks a turning point at Nikola Tesla’s last remaining laboratory on Long Island — three historic moments arriving at once.
Wardenclyffe, Shoreham NY · July 11, 2026 · 5–9 PM
Nikola Tesla’s
170TH Birthday
Born July 10, 1856, Nikola gave the world AC electricity, radio, and a century-ahead vision of wireless power. We celebrate him on the very grounds where he worked.
The Dedication of The Sayan Center
The Eugene Sayan Visitor Center reaches a historic milestone with its official dedication, marking the first permanent public building ever on the Wardenclyffe site. A milestone a decade in the making.
America’s 250th
Anniversary
The Nikola Tesla Expo 2026 is proud to be part of Suffolk 250 — Suffolk County’s official commemoration of the USA’s signing of the Declaration of Independence.
“The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine.” — Nikola Tesla
What You’ll Experience

From virtual reality to amateur radio to hands-on robotics, this corner of the Expo puts Nikola’s most forward-thinking ideas directly in your hands.

Drone Light Show Finale
The day ends – at 9 PM – with a spectacular drone show over Wardenclyffe – a fitting tribute to the man who envisioned wireless technology flying across the sky over his laboratory

Entertainment
Sparks, Chaos & Liftoff
Maker, inventor, and science showman Frank Longo brings hands-on experiments, theatrical chaos, and a healthy dose of maker energy to the Expo stage, building toward an electrifying finale where human conductivity helps trigger a live rocket launch.
Sam’s Weather School
Meteorologist Samantha Augeri takes kids inside the science of storms in this electrifying headline show. Expect thunderstorms, lightning, a giant storm cloud, and a lineup of hands-on demos straight out of Nikola Tesla’s playbook — a Van de Graaff generator, plasma globe, Tesla coil, thunder drum, energy stick human circuit, and more.
The Owl Connection
Join published ornithologist Jim MacDougall for a live owl lesson on the Kids Stage, featuring two very special guests. Meet Aria, a Eurasian Eagle Owl celebrating her 8th birthday on May 28, and Aurora, a Spectacled Owl from South and Central America turning 3 on July 4th. A rare, up-close look at these magnificent birds and the wild world they call home.
Wardenclyffe Science Pub LIVE!
Part talk show, part trivia competition, all fascinating, weird, and wildly fun science hosted by Richard Jordan, Wardenclyffe Science Pub will make a LIVE appearance on the Expo’s main stage.
